I'm still bummed because of this. The fact that it’s a musical didn’t even bother me. That could’ve actually been fun. But what really gets me is how hollow it feels. Movies like Taxi Driver, Fight Club, and The King of Comedy never needed sequels yelling “NO REALLY GUYS, THE MAIN CHARACTER IS BAD!!” We got that the first time so tell me an interesting story.

They have the most iconic comic book villain. They could’ve printed unlimited money with him. And yet somehow, they still managed to fumble it. Kind of impressive, in a weird way.
