they still need a grav engine to function. they're actually even more advanced than spacer tech, they're explicitly glitterworld ultratech which is why they're "user-friendly" enough that even industrial era retards can use them, the grav engine is stupidly advanced and self-sufficient so as long as you have one you just need a hull and thrusters to get off the ground
