But honestly, it's more the energy consumption than the production that makes vanilla so inefficient. Everything uses energy all the time, not just when it's in use, unless you manually turn it on and off.

One of the weirder parts of having a ship base is putting down stone floors. Carpets I can kind of understand, they're soft and plush and light, but putting in stone just seems silly.

Tagged Unagi back in after some fiddling with my mods. Karl's dopey face and bowl cut combo has returned.
Also Rebuild Doors and Corners updated again and voided all the windows on the ship, which are largely on the crew bedrooms so that was a nice surprise for the helpless infant that was in one of them.

The prison guard quest is finished. With that, the cataphracts leave and we are officially allies of the empire. Just in time too: we have become much richer in steel and plasteel, but our food stockpile is close to dry. Feeding 11 additional people in a colony of (originally) 6 is rough. I also think it's about time I free our domesticated impids. They serves us well as meat shields and servants as penance, but are no longer needed.

It's difficult to recommend it, I think it kinda went to shit during the moon arc but there was still a lot to like. If you just watch the anime instead of reading the manga you'll get a pretty different experience overall, since the anime only really covers the SoL bits while barely getting into the suffering porn.

It's certainly not your standard story since the author is trying to tell a Buddhist tale in an interesting and unique setting. I feel like this focus on Buddhism was a mistake though and the cool setting/characters are wasted at the end of the day. Phos did nothing wrong, and was too forgiving if anything.

I liked Bebop when I was a kid but re-watching it now like two decades later made me realize it's actually highly overrated outside of the great OST.

The animation is great for sure, but it fails for me because "I don’t care what happens to these people." To me liking a story is highly reliant on having characters I like in that story. How do I deal with these fuckers? I'm getting back into the game after years away, wasn't ever very good at it. It's 3 tesserons with beam grasers, a cyclops with a beam repeater, and a few lancers.
I've got 9 adult colonists. 6 with devilstrand dusters + flak helmets, 3 with recon armor + shield belts + uranium maces.
I tried luring them away from the defoliator they're guarding by sending a guy down to take pot shots, but they wouldn't chase him even after he got some hits, so I can't funnel them into my killbox. As you can see from all the blast marks, literally every one of my 20ish mortar shots has missed the defoliator.
The combat in this game just doesn't click with me. I reload fights when I die because I always die to like tactical mistakes I can't quite put my finger on. I tried one raid three times; the first two times I lost the colony, the third time I had no deaths, all because I staged the fight around doorways as cover instead of going out to meet them in the field.
Is it just cover? I'm currently building a walls and barricades covered position just out of their range, but if they won't walk over to it it's pointless. Is there a damage threshold at which they chase you? Can I just pot shot them to death one at a time with a sniper rifle?

Except the Gravship is the only one that cant be disabled in scenario customization AND its the one the requires the least investment for tangible benefits. The mechanitor implant requires you to invest in mech buildings and manage waste packs to benefit from it and the monolith just doesnt benefit you in any way at all. You can also very easily remove the exostrider from spawning on your map so you have to actually work for it, thats not possible with the grav engine.
