as an anime-only, wasn't too impressed with episode 1. it felt like it was spending too much time on our male MC's backstory and setting up the premise, and not much happened. the girls are all cute and I like tomboys but didn't expect them all to all be tsunderes and all be this hostile towards our MC to start with.

was gonna say this was a pretty weak premiere but then they also dropped episode 2 which I'm guessing is intentional and they paced episode 1 accordingly to account for being able to show us 48 minutes of content right off the bat.
