You can get used to a single cat with enough exposure, so unless you're full-blown asthma-attack allergic you can still get a cat. Take allergy medicine daily for a while, and then start going longer and longer between pills, and you'll be fine. This is scientifically proven. Note that it will only make you "immune" to that one cat, other cats will still affect you
