a combination of poor impulse control (in my case from adhd+autism) and fomo because it's not uncommon to see things get discontinued or only be reprinted once a decade. i don't hoard bandai kits (except 1 or 2 more niche pbandai releases a year that i'm unsure will be reprinted regularly) or volks ims kits because you're rarely waiting long for a reprint of anything from them, but you never know what companies like wave, koto, kaiyodo, etc are going to do and it's not worth paying scalper prices on the 2nd hand market
