God, I miss these days. When Skype first came out, and all you had to do was register with an email for free unlimited worldwide calling with all the bells and whistles. It was fucking glorious. No smart phone 2fa verification, none of that tracking bullshit. Just good old fashioned Web 2.0 usability above all else. I remember making hundreds of prank calls over Skype back then with one of those shitty old school grey dollar store computer mics. I would call my buddy up and then we would just start doing conference calls all night sometimes in the summer. If you were looking for easy guaranteed laughs then one of the best things to do was google all of the Chinese restaraunts in a city and just start mass conference calling them, you could just keep daisy chaining calls together. Don't say anything and more often than not they start to suspect each other of making the calls and they start flipping out and swearing at each other in Chinese lol
