I am beginning to agree, when he was accepted in France at Cannes as talker and not mere guest he said this was his dream. The amount of pandering to be able to become a Hollywood director is very palpable now. He never cared about games. In his biography documentary he said his parents were some beatnik hipsters that made him watch movies and forced him to discuss their meaning with them. I guess it got to his head and he is just using us as some kind of launchpad to jump into film production.
