I agree that it's an oversaturated genre, one that I don't even regularly play, but I find it acceptable for this game. I like Kirby, I like Sanae, and I'm willing to let any prejudice against the oversaturated market of 2d platformers go right into the trash if it means I get to play a cute game where Sanae is the main character.
Speaking of platformers... what would Sanae's favorite game genre be? I'm thinking RPG, considering that's the only one she canonically even mentions. I struggle to see her playing something like an RTS.
