I just don't get why CRPG developers create these characters with these traumas, physical or mental, and disallow your character from helping said character to overcome them. It was the same with Aerie in BG2, there is absolutely zero reason you cannot restore her wings once you reach late game, the fact they locked restoring her wings to you attaining divine power is ridiculous. Still better than Ember I suppose, who you cannot heal or help return to normal no matter what path you're on, because the writer says so, player agency be damned.
