I love it when the trainer is more than just an observer and actually go above and beyond to give his hors a happy ending. Mirako (thin)'s trainer was amazing with this.
Speaking of France. Here's a picture El's actual trainer took of the turf there. The ground there is so swampy that, instead of being able to kick the ground up and accelerate like normal turf, the horses just sink into the ground as they run.
