1. Use steam, see steam deck, typically just enable proton for non native games, they also tend to run better even with compatibility. But indeed, some more steps required for some games.

3. Depends on distro, I use terminal but some have similar stuff as windows, with an app store.
4. You should say distro, Linux itself has no UI, I think something like Mint? Haven't used that myself though
