Finished.
It was fine. The story was interesting enough, the characters were memorable, and the voice acting was surprisingly well done. The puzzles never felt like the logical leaps that people tend to expect in the genre. I could see myself getting into it as a kid.
The ending was obviously cut short, with the final area dropping the Wolf/Boar alliance plotline basically immediately. Despite being built up as a perhaps THE most significant threat the whole game, we're warned one final time while sailing to the north island and then nobody ever talks about it again. I'm willing to believe that the Orb being lost was the original plan, since the learned lesson fits well enough with everything else in the story, but the ending was very abrupt which makes me think they ran out of funds and had to rush to that conclusion. Plus half of the Human Ruins goes unused, so I'm sure the Lab was meant to play some role.
But hey, wolf tits. So I can't be too upset.
