No, it's not. Ocean-going vessels right now don't have such a disparity in technology. Space craft sure as fuck wouldn't. These things have to go off on their own for years with no help. They're not going to be using floppy disks and CRT screens when ships decades ago had holograms and floating drones. Fuck off trying to make excuses for their shit storytelling.
