The ultimate point is that the planet DID cry and want to purge humans because it could not live with its own end, and the other Ultimate Ones showed up to do that whether ORT was invited or just a parted crasher.
Earth is a cruel and vengeful bitch. Admittedly, this is apparently because humans are colossal fuckups and they keep finding every single dead end imaginable. The planet does have a purpose for its life forms, and humans keep FAILING IT which is why there's all these lostbelts to begin with.
