I will say my TDEE is very similar to yours at ~2000cal, sedentary lifestyle, gym 6x/week. I used to do 1200 cals but upped it to 1500cal and am seeing acceptable results so far. Try that before going all the way to 1700 and also make sure your meals are fairly distributed in terms of calories (I.e. not all your calories at dinner time), is my advice.


Cutting does suck and you will feel weak but it was never easy for anyone. At the same time, know your limits. If it’s affecting your sleep that is a big big no no.
