When and why did everyone suddenly become so anti chosen one? This kind of thing is one of the most basic story telling elements there is. And NO I don't accept that as a reason because it's just petty contrarianism trying to sound "grown up". Having a destiny doesn't undermine someone's efforts to live up to it and it's no more an automatic card for victory than simply being the main character. Watching characters have to live up to their expected burden is frankly as engaging if not actually more so than watching some whiny pud complain about life being unfair. Is this all some kind of self insert thing?
