Relationalism is RELATIONAL.
When a Christian says "they have a relationship with God" they are making the truest claim they can.
It is a personal emotional relationship that develops through time.
It happens to be a toxic relationship.
But we INEVITABLY characterize The Totality via some base root metaphor.
"Machine" isn't relationally neutral, but loaded: the archtypal relationship is between machine user and machine with the machine defined as entirely for the purpose of benefitting the machine user.
It's master/slave projected as subject/object.

Now imagine a different relational orientation: between ROMANTIC CO-EQUALS.
This is the root metaphor behind The Totality as organism.
The world and the universe grows with you.
You are co-creative partners with the rest of the universe.
It's a dance, not a war.

Now to me the absolutely most spooky and poetic thing I have ever found is that when you interpret calculus integration and differentiation in terms of a relational romance, the result is the description of a dynamic that from all appearances must be "the alchemy of existence."

It appears to be the formal definition of yin and yang.
