No, because as iconic as it is, the original is a garbled mess at times, which would have required rewrites of specific scenes at a bare minimum, as well as typo fixes throughout (Faith for Face, Breath for Bracelet, etc.). I can see why they went for a full rewrite, especially since it's being voiced now.
