they treat making a contract with the state as the end all be all -it's where the term social contract comes from-. for example they'd posit that a man who went to university and spent his time becoming a engineer of sorts, can be the same as a man of similar age who spent his time living in rural pakistan being a agriculturalist can also be as good a engineer as the man who spent his live learning.
