Apparently they are very big; we kinda know how big they are (there is a map where a big map of the realm from the tome is shown as a relatively small part of the bigger map), but there are maps of usually one or several big continents from each realm, and each such map contains sometimes multiple cities/kingdoms and a large amount of other landmarks.
