I think Ghosts and Goblins - Devil May Cry 4 (85-08) is a good one. DMC4 is beloved now and I liked it back then but it was a little controversial at the time and definitely was marred by some development issues. 2008 also aligns with Street Fighter 4's release which love it or hate it (I really really really fucking hate it) marked a turning point for them, the beginning of their pandering to the west. But yeah, when they were active in the arcades, fightan, beat em up, their SNES catalog, classic Resident Evil, all the 90s and GBA Megamen, even all their licensed Disney slop, and eventually DMC, Ace Attorney, Maximo, all the Clover titles... nothing but fucking gold.
