There really is a ton of potential in the little universe they have made, I love the whole "golden age of discovery but the mythology of all those new countries is real". They portray characters in a way that never really does them disservice and always makes them as cool as possible. They could take it to a hundred different places and explore their history mixed with mythology, with the war between England and Spain/Portugal and the secret societies like the alchemists being the overarching background plot.
