If you win too much it stops being as cool or based. It's why xenos players like the bit of the harlequins killing the custodes or tau hammerheads cracking open imperial knights, because those are the few noteworthy victories they get amongst a sea of absolute losses so it actually stands the fuck out. The space wolves never losing just makes them seem way less cool even when compared to ultramarines because of authorial bias making people's eyes roll. Im a guard and sisters player I have no clue how winning feels but the few times we do great shit it's fun.
