You're right that twinks in Elden Ring can be very oppressive, but it's mostly when you're 1v1'ing them at low levels, which is far from the average multiplayer experience. Most players are summoning, and many are specifically summoning password phantoms who do not need to abide by any of the rules that either the host or the invader need to abide by. 3v1 or even 2v1 is enough to equalize any advantage that the invader has as long as the co-op'ers hold forward and R1 in his direction. It's unfortunate that it's difficulty to have a "fair" fight with an invader 1v1, but that's simply not how the Elden Ring multiplayer system is designed.
I play a lot of co-op with both my friends and randoms and it's pretty easy to mercilessly beat twinks to a pulp as long as you and your allies have a pulse.
