Apparently Kiyoshi's author will be the judge of Jump's 100th monthly award

Q1. Tell us something that left a strong impression on you when you won the monthly award.
"I had just moved to Tokyo and didn’t even have a place to stay, so I was crashing at friends’ places and moving around while working on my award-winning piece. Even my editor was kind of like, ‘Eh, might as well submit it,’ so when I actually won, I was absolutely thrilled! Thanks to the prize money, I was able to move into a proper place.

Q2. Please share a message for aspiring creators aiming to win the Shin Sekai Manga Award.
Getting published in a special issue right after winning is possible, so I think this is the fastest way to take your first step toward becoming a manga artist!
You never know what part of your work will get recognized, so instead of stressing about making the “perfect” one-shot, I think it’s better to just go ahead and create something and submit it. Good luck!
