It's strange to say, but this is probably the first TMNT iteration I enjoyed since the nick purchase. I love the 1990 movie and 2k3, like some 87, Like Mirage(even the parts people skip like the guest issues, some of the guest issues and Tales Vol 2 are some of my favorite turtle media ever) 2012 just felt obnoxious to me, and while I can appreciate Rise's animation it just didn't work for me. I did like the Jhonen Vasquez short though, I thought that would've been a good style for a new show.
I also liked the gross designs, it reminds me of the early Playmates toys. April looked pretty awful, but I'm ok with it being a world where all the humans look like wonky weirdoes. Reminds me of some 90's claymation too
