IME, the recoil isn't as predictable with the center of mass shifted by the slide geometry. Other than that, the ergonomics are better than Glock [low bar to clear, mind] and it's one of the better feeling triggers in the poly striker market

New Mec Gar 18-rounder review from s00tch just dropped. I'll check it out now and let you guys know what the deal is with them but am not feeling optimistic at all given the reports of how poorly they perform in non-Staccato pistols. I actually considered replacing my polymer mag release with metallic just to use them but figured the additional round wasn't worth deviating from the tried and true OEM spec. Incidentally, I learned that 19 cartridges will fit in a G17 [Gen4] mag and they cycled with ZSR 115gr FMJ but haven't yet tested this with M882 [124gr FMJ] nor any JHP loads
