I'm going to keep practicing with imitating flat 2D sketches until I can accurately map out where each line/object/feature is in relation to all the others, that seems to be my biggest issue and I imagine it's fixed through rote practice rather than understanding any techniques or shortcuts
when it comes to practicing basic mechanical skills like drawing straight lines, encompassing axes with circles and ellipses etc, is it most effective to just mindlessly fill a page with them with the aim of getting my muscles familiar with the motion of accurately drawing geometric shapes? or are there specific exercises/assessment criteria I should be doing when I practice these?
