>When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.
It is a curious thing they measured that out in such a way.
My interpretation/intuition is leaning towards it's a warning about the scam artist industry, false prophets and all that.
How many of those discord/yt/tiktok magicians have their own courses, school, spellwork for sale? How many are of genuine faith in their products? How many are aware of the nuisances needed to have actual ___ on a customer? How many use them needing sustenance and shelter as a justification for their prices and entire trade?

>20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power
I don't feel like checking, but shouldn't 'word' be capitalized?
If so and we're talking Word, then this is just relaying the trappings of the spelltrade. Rituals are generally meant to be intimate, solo endeavors no? So 99% of spells/sold instructions are bunk and merely messing up the temple (i.e. you + holy spirit/word), by muddying the ___, where you interact with the spirit on 'the inside' or whatever.
I don't have all the words for it right now, but I think I'm getting it across.
