I really don't need an official survey to recognize that trans people are far more depressed and suicidal than everyone else. I know there are people out there that religiously live by statistics and numbers, but sometimes anecdotal observation can help, too.

Or do I also need to wait for official surveys before I can make the declarative statements that most homeless people are drug addicts that don't benefit from handouts?
