You arrive as a prisoner.
Folo Wulfrick, a killer dressed as a beggar, visited you in a small health house with the intent of kidnapping you. Sliding his serrated dagger along your tunic and fraying the fabric, the ghost with shredded hair confessed he had been your nocturnal stalker for months — and that he had no intention of hurting you. He wanted to take you to the Sepulcher of Aen, and promised that if he left the place alone, he would not harm you — but would kill one of your friends every week until you surrendered.
Belarmino was a feared and respected Holy Hand. The Holy Hands of Portugal are inquisitors known for their relentless pursuit of duty. Before his exile, Belarmino believed you were a false saint. Although his accusation wasn't unanimously supported by the Order, he had the authority to gather holy warriors and hunt you down — and so he did. Many of his disciples were killed, but Belarmino never reached you. Eventually, the persecution ended when Belarmino himself became a target of the Inquisition, and he took refuge in the Sepulcher of Aen.
The Sepulcher of Aen is a subterranean labyrinth carved into the bowels of a great mountain. It was once an ancient monastery that sealed away impure relics — until faith gave way to time, and the horrors within found new vows. The mountain became a brutal dungeon that tortures its guests. The Church has long sought to reclaim it, calling upon many heroes. It never succeeded. They say the dungeon also distorts time — and that the mountain’s anus excretes demons every night.
In your dreams, you see Belarmino cooking on a toilet. He always looks at you without stopping his work with the soup ladle, and invites you to dine. Your dreams do not fail you — he wants you as an offering for a ritual.
It is truly difficult, but you accept to descend into the dungeon with the man you saw. Not to fight... but to try and save Belarmino from what he has become.
