Britfags drastically overstate just how "quintessentially British" Banjo-Kazooie's humor actually is/was. Plenty of it is just toilet humor, sexual innuendo and Kazooie being nasty and sarcastic, none of which exactly screams "You don't see that in America!" You've still got Britishisms like Banjo saying "Cor" in there and my headcanon voice for Kazooie is absolutely a cynical Yorkshire slag (Banjo should sound like a good ol' southern boi) but those things weren't exactly essential to its success.
Hell; Ratchet & Clank from around the same time was written by SCHEWPID AMERICANS, also has cynical humor with two characters with contrasting demeanors and I'd have to say it blows BK out of the water comedy-wise.
