In MHX it was moved to Flame Mammoth's stage where the x buster upgrade used to be. It's fairly missable for someone new, and prior knowledge works against people because you'd just assume you need to come back with the helmet upgrade like the original anyway.
It's such a weird change because the original knew well enough to place it right in your path so you'd have to stumble upon it eventually by just trying every stage.
