Soulslikes are self parody now
Including fromsoft's latest game.

I've been playing pic related and every new enemy in this DLC has a moveset where 50% of attacks have obnoxious delays in their animations now.
Lies of P was bad with this even in the base game but now it's just reached the point of flat out unintentional parody.

I just reached Veronique and this is absurd. Half her animations don't even make sense or read well.

When will developers, including Fromsoft realise that doing gotchas all over the place is not what we play these games for.
It has become a true crutch now in boss design in various games and it is reaching a point where it's not funny anymore.
