I love romance but I find most live action movie/TV romances mediocre to awful. Cartoons are better although a lot of them in the past couple years have purposefully humiliated the guy to send a message about not demanding love from the female half of the ship (Adventure Time and Regular Show for example) Literature is where it's at.
