I remember everyone insisting that Asticassia was actually a secret school intended to create soldiers and mercenaries for corporations, and S2 would have this big war between corporations and Earth terrorists, and all the kids would die.
But then the second season happened, and Asticassia really was just >>280002050 aka a "School of Technology" like everyone in-universe said it was. No kids ever became soldiers, and no corporate war ever broke out, unless you count the terrorism by Ochs Earth as corporate warfare.
Not that I hated what we got, but it's just pretty funny looking back on it.
