I absolutely think Palworld elements should be incorporated into pokemon itself.
Not the "survival crafting" aspect necessarily.
But the way you interact with pokemon. Seeing them in the world (which they are doing now), the way you catch them and freely call them out.
I don't think it should necessarily go the direction of animal crossing exactly, but I do think the "comfyness" of pokemon's world is a major appeal and something they do need to actually tap into more. But its something thats better captured in artwork more than the games themselves. Both official and fanmade art.
Legends ZA seems like it'll be enjoyable, but still won't quite capture that aspect of pokemon that I feel most of the games have been missing.

Theres a fan concept of that, which I'm sure most have seen by now. I'm not usually one to say "Nintendo hire this man!" but it was a pretty neat looking stylized concept.
I'd buy it at least.
These days, Pokemon is a series I enjoy outside of the mainline games more than within them sadly. I do hope that changes though.
