I'm surprised people haven't pointed out Deltarune's parallels with AOT considering that Neon Genesis Evangelion was a noteworthy influence on both series. Eren is an example of Moorcock's Eternal Champion, and technically so is Shinji and now Kris. Both NGE and AOT have gamechanging basement reveals that fundamentally alter how you look at everything up until that point. AOT, NGE, and Deltarune feature timeloops. That's not even mentioning how SMT pulled from Moorcock's concept of Law vs Chaos, and we know Toby's played SMT.

AOT and Deltarune both involve Titans as antagonists. The Roaring parallels The Rumbling, and both parallel Instrumentality.
