The older I get the more I agree. I also hate the "Its a rated M show, it HAS to be vulgar" trope. I wouldn't argue against e.g. the Oppenheimer sex scene because it was relevant to show how intimate and uncomfortable the hearing was.
But for example, I'm a fan of Yellowstone and the other shows around it, which are westerns in different time periods, and I got extremely fucking annoyed how EVERYONE had a fucking sex scene: the protagonist, the side characters, both villains including the fugly one, even one of the fucking nuns. The only ones not fucking were the horses and Harrison Ford. I also watched Heat for the first time recently and I wish I could burn the sight of a tongue fencing Robert DeNiro out of my fucking mind.
