Especially because she's drawn more attractively than an actual burn victim would look. I think at least half of her fanbase would go up in smoke if she was drawn more realistic: more overt scarring, bald patches, twisted facial features.
On the other hand, I like to think that she experiences some sort of mental damage by attending Yamaku. She sees all these other students with genuine problems moving forward and succeeding, and she fails to perform at their level, despite not having anything physically wrong with her.
