I understand where you're coming from, nona. While I can infer that you're probably speaking about "it happens more often than not" rather than trying to make the point "all men are evil" (i hope), I still don't like generalizations. With that out of the way, why was that the case? Too incompetent to tell you, as is every other anon. My guess - enforcing the status quo of the patriarchy; more freedom, i.e. you could get away with doing more bad stuff; life was harder, which made it harder to be a nice person and not just worry about satisfying yourself - needs and whims alike, etc.

Me too, that's a good thing, but I think for that to happen, extreme caution is needed when approaching topics like this. The pointing fingers and playing the blame game (from both sides! men on here[this site, and even this thread] complain about women constantly) won't get us anywhere. There are bad apples undeniably, but there are also good ones. I think the world is moving into a more just direction slowly, despite it not being too apparent nowadays. But anyway, those are my two cents on the matter, I hope you have a great day
