Through the non-resonant application of a phase-stabilized, mode-locked Ti:Sapphire femtosecond laser system emitting at ~800.23 nm with a spectral bandwidth of 6.4 THz, temporal coherence was nonlinearly propagated via high-order multiphoton interactions within a cryogenically cooled ion ensemble of 171Yb+, electrostatically confined in a hyperbolic quadrupole radiofrequency trap maintained under differential ion-pumping regimes achieving background pressures below 10-11 Torr, wherein sub-decoherence Rabi cycling between Zeeman-resolved hyperfine manifolds—perturbed by second-order Stark and tensor light shifts—was characterized by quantum state tomography techniques sensitive to fluctuations in ambient electromagnetic field gradients on the order of picoTesla, thereby necessitating active compensation through a nested PID-controlled Helmholtz coil array with real-time feedback synchronized to the ion secular motion.
