Fujita really likes to insert a lot of his opinion, but in a good way the readers could sympathize with. Other than the parting, there's also how Fujita hates Japanese imperialism which we can see from Zanka's reaction to Japanese's surrounded in the earlier chapter, and in the new manga Ginbei hates soldiers since he is an old man who survived ww2.
