I think it'd be easier to just get rid of the public corporation model and/or pass a law undoing the Dodge vs Ford decision so companies can prioritize things other than profits. You don't get this kind of bullshit out of sole proprietorships or partnerships or private companies that don't have to answer to shareholders. It's the second the company goes public and gets investors that it starts trending towards crap like this because at any meeting the bloodsucking profiteer in the room can just say
>And how does this affect shareholder value?
and block any non-shitty decision. Small businesses will do the right thing because it is right at least some of the time. Large corporations not only won't, they can't.
The public corporation business model is like putting a pitbull in your house, and these law suggestions are like asking how you stop the pitbull from mauling your toddler. Do we muzzle it? When is the muzzle allowed to come off, like when it eats? Do we need a stronger choke collar?
No, what you need is to take the pitbull out of the house and buy a golden retriever that doesn't even have a desire to maul your toddler.
