If you were convinced to watch sumo and post here about watching sumo, what makes you think it isn't possible for that to happen to other people? I doubt sumo can ever be the equivalent of soccer or cricket, but the recent successes of unbelievably stupid shit like Power Slap or F1 don't much convince me that the average sports viewer is discerning.
