I looked it up, I misremembered the details of process. They mix Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP) into the beer and it clears it, then the PVPP is filtered out from the beer but a complete removal is not possible, so there are microplastics that remain in the beer.
It's also interesting that beer manufacturers don't have to declare that they use PVPP in the ingredients list even though traces of it remain in the beer. The additive should be declared as E1202.
