Going again in January, hopefully with my two friends. Anyone give a rundown on skiing? Am I retarded for wanting to learn how to ski while there or is it fine? Is it expensive? Think will go to Nagano because I don't really want to go all the way to Hokkaido, though I heard there's some places in Shimane for skiing. I doubt they would care about going to Kyoto, just want to fuck around and do gen z tourist shit probably, but I want to go back to Nagasaki and Nagoya, as well Hiroshima, Shikoku and Fukuoka. But I also want to see snow so maybe going up Tohoku would be nice. This is the fourth time I'm going and I don't want to be a loser like last time when I spent most of my day trying to use dating apps and getting rejected then wandering the streets at night and accomplishing nothing.
Also want to see train stuff, like find every train in the country, ride more obscure trains and do limited expresses instead of Shinkansen everywhere. I really enjoyed taking the Hinotori from Osaka to Nagoya. Shinkansen is still peak comfy though, especially at night.
