The compensators have a ton iterative changes done to them, I don’t think they’re that effective anyway. If you are going to get one, they impact holster selection, the light bearing ones are easier to find holsters for. The non lightbearing ones are kind of a after thought, the lightbearing ones have better attachment methods
The rail models I couldn’t get good fit with and they blow too much out the sides. Any increase in recoil reduction would be countered by the increase of muzzle blast to the face which would disorient me. I was shooting Winchester Service Grade which is one of the hottest 9mm range loads available
