There’s a popular theory that Shamrock (and obviously Shanks) is the son of Garling and a lower-world red-headed concubine. Because of his non-Celestial blood he was treated the same as Hajrudin growing up but like Hajrudin managed to win the trust/respect of everyone thanks to hard work, dedication and accomplishments.
A part of this theory is because unlike the other Holy Knights (not including Gunko) introduced this arc he doesn’t have a Saint status.
